“Earlier today at approximately 4:40 PM there was the sound of gunshots in the area of 21st Street and D Street NE. An on scene investigation revealed that two vehicles were involved and occupant(s) of at least one of the vehicles was firing a gun as the cars traveled West on D Street NE. The crime scene stretched from 21st and D Streets NE to 15th and D Streets NE.
A vehicle that was occupied and traveling East was struck by gunfire. Fortunately the occupants were not injured.
