From a press release:
“SOMEWHERE®, the new mixed-use concept from local DC natives Will Sharp and Dom Adams (Maketto co-owner and former Head of Retail respectively) opened its doors in the Navy Yard neighborhood of Washington DC this past weekend. SOMEWHERE® is a Café and Retail space dedicated to bringing the international fashion conversation to DC as well as serving the best local coffee and pastries DC has to offer.
The SOMEWHERE® café serves fresh coffee from Vigilante Coffee Company and fresh baked goods from Baked and Wired from 7am – 7pm daily. The menu consists of classic espresso drinks including Cappuccino’s, Latte’s, Macchiato’s, as well as more contemporary beverages like Chai Latte’s, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, and Matcha Latte’s, with more drinks planned in the coming months.
The SOMEWHERE® retail area carries an eclectic selection of men’s clothing and shoe brands from around the world. Some notable brands include Undercover, Human Made, TAKAHIROMIYASHITAThesoloist., Salomon, Kapital, Marni, Rick Owens, and Nanamica. SOMEWHERE® plans to host an array of fashion and coffee related events throughout the coming months including their Grand Opening Party at the end of September.
The SOMEWHERE® space was designed by Washington DC based PGN Architects and spans 2,200 square feet on the ground floor of the F1RST Residences located at 1239 1st Street, SE, Washington DC 20003. The lease was brokered by R|C Capital.
“Dom and I are big believers in DC, physical retail, and mixed-use concepts. With SOMEWHERE®, we wanted to open a space that allowed Washingtonians the ability to interact with the world of International fashion in a safe, clean environment where you can lose yourself and learn something new, free from judgement or preconceived notions. Fashion can be intimidating, especially for men, we understand that! SOMEWHERE® lets you look at, try on, and interact with some of the most current relevant men’s fashion brands, most of which aren’t sold anywhere else in DC. The best part is, if we don’t have your size or favorite brand, you can still grab a fresh local coffee and pastry!”
SOMEWHERE® is a progressive mixed-use retail/café experience meant to push the boundaries of culture with a curated selection of multi-brand apparel, footwear, and coffees.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
