“Dear PoPville,

Not quite sure what to do with the situation we faced today. My spouse was getting in the car when a woman with a baby ran up to him and ask that he call 911 because she was involved in some domestic disturbance. Her partner was argumentative and aggressive towards her and her child in the street and with my husband, demanding that he better not call the police. He did and they arrived very quickly to intervene.

In the shuffle, my spouse had to leave & wasn’t able to talk to police. We are a bit concerned because this guy knows what my spouse looks like, knows our car, and knows where we live. We are worried for our neighbor, her child, and for our family.

Not sure if we can do anything to allay our concerns. DC 311 recommended we call 911 if he tries anything (not super helpful, but I get it). Just wondering if there’s anything more we can do to feel safer/less anxious?”
