I am reaching out because a friend had her dogs stolen over the weekend during a domestic violence incident. The dogs were taken from the home and according to the police were dumped “somewhere” in NW DC. We hope the public can help locate the pit bulls before something terrible can happen. The dogs are a couple, and the female had puppies a few weeks ago, and they still need their momma.
The owner of the dogs has allowed me to request people’s help in spreading the news; she’s too much in distress to coordinate these efforts while she deals with her situation, the safety of her children, and the wellbeing of the puppies. Humane Rescue Alliance and the police are investigating as well.
