“Dear PoPville,
I’m looking for a recommendation for a driving instructor / driving school with their own cars. I am an adult (like, an old) but having lived in cities my whole life, have never owned a car, and I haven’t driven regularly in about a decade. I do need to do some driving coming up in the fall and was hoping to do some refresher lessons with a professional instructor.
I’ve heard great things about the former / current police officers who give driving lessons, but all their meeting points are not Metro-accessible, and you’re expected to have your own vehicle, which I don’t. A few year back I tried this and was a bit traumatized by a disinterested and rude instructor, so am hoping someone has a better idea. I’ve looked at the schools recommended by the DC DMV but one of the them is the traumatizing school, and another hasn’t responded to several emails.”
