Interesting question from a resident on the MPD 3D listserv:
“I ask this with zero judgement, just pure curiosity. How it is possible that a person be arrested for two separate crimes [Unlawful Entry Of A Motor Vehicle] at two separate locations four hours apart? Is this reflective of one arrest for two separate crimes or was this person arrested, released, and arrested again?”
MPD replied:
“You are exactly right. He was arrested on Georgia Avenue, transported to the Third District, processed and released on a citation to appear. He then committed the same crime on V street and was arrested again.
He committed 2 crimes in different locations within a few hours.”
