Thanks to Anna for sharing the message above: “I reached out to the local rideshare driver org yesterday and this was their response”

Somebody jump out here and say you took an Uber or Lyft… pic.twitter.com/rn70OoQXfI

In an Uber now. My driver, Jose, is a former veteran paying bills and looking for a full-time job. #gigeconomy

They’re planning a rally tonight at Reagan rather than organize a full strike. However I personally will avoid using the apps in solidarity with any drivers planning to strike

Don’t use rideshare apps Uber or Lyft today! #UberLyftStrike https://t.co/ysWnou8V1D

I’m taking my sweet time to get to work today so no need for Lyft/Uber, but these rates/waits are about normal for this time of day (for me, anyway). Curious to read about the end result of this virtual picket line. pic.twitter.com/lWuYRNcAeT

Don't normally use it much so not sure how it compares to the usual offering, but seem to be plenty of drivers near Union Station. pic.twitter.com/2PhoQnuKQ4

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
