Clear bags are no longer required at D.C. United’s Audi Field – Vamos!

With D.C. United’s first game at Audi Field (vs Atlanta) set for this Sunday, there is already reason to celebrate. Last year we spoke about DC United’s bag policy and there were opinions, lots of opinions – 226 to be exact. Your voices have been heard – D.C. United dropped the news last night:

“D.C. United have announced details on their updated 2019 Audi Field Bag Policy.

To expedite entry into Audi Field, the club strongly encourage fans to avoid bringing bags to the stadium.

In order to streamline Audi Field access, there will be two designated security lanes to get into the stadium in 2019.

Express lane: Reserved for fans who come to Audi Field without a bag.
Regular lane: For fans who need to have bags screened by security prior to entry.

If fans need to bring a bag into the stadium, please see important information on specifications below:

No bags larger than 14″ by 14″ by 6″ will be allowed into Audi Field.

No backpacks will be allowed (cinch/drawstring bags that meet size specifications will be allowed). Ed. Note: For 2019 the Nats have also implemented a no backpack policy.

Clear bags are not required but must meet the specifications above.

Other bag types that will NOT be allowed at Audi Field include:

Coolers
Luggage
Large purses
Other similar bags that exceed size restrictions.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
