I’m writing today in the hopes that you will want to help out the Benning Court Dream Team, a youth dance group for children at the Benning Courts Housing Complex on Benning Road NE. The team has performed at numerous events around DC, including the annual 5th District holiday-party, Beat the Streets, Rosedale Basketball Classic and National Night Out. The dance team has grown in recent years and is raising money to buy new uniforms. Please consider donating to help our neighbors at Benning Court.
The recent violence in this area has been widely reported, but there has not been nearly enough coverage about the people who are just trying to live their lives and better their community amidst this violence.”
