“Dear PoPville,
Does DC have any plans for a bike path connecting the Wharf to Buzzard Point and the Yards Park via Fort Lesley McNair? I know that the NPS plan for Buzzard Point includes a bike path that extends to where the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail currently ends, but how about all the way around that point?
I know that Fort McNair is owned by the Army which probably makes that difficult, but it’s such a shame that there’s no way to get across from the bike path at the Wharf over to the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail via the water. Maybe there could be a walkway like the one along the water outside Navy Yard, which is owned by the Navy.
Is there anybody advocating for this?”
