Update from a reader: “Shooting within the last hour on 8th st NW btw Randolph and Shepherd.”

Update from MPD:

“On July 27, 2018 at approximately 12:55 PM, the victim along with a friend were in front of 3910 8th Street, Northwest. The suspect approached and words were exchanged with the victim and his friend. The suspect then shot the victim with a handgun, striking him on his ankle. The suspect’s injuries are not life threatening.

The shooter ran from the scene. He is described as a Hispanic male, wearing a black T shirt and blue jeans.

The shooter arrived at the scene in in a white 2-door white sedan driven by an unidentified Hispanic male. The car is described as having a flame or lightning bolts design in yellow and black on each door.”

“Just wanted to let you all know that this case has been closed with an arrest.

Thank you for all of your confidence and support!”
