In addition to the dough jars, the Georgetown scoop shop menu will include 10+ flavors of cookie dough scooped into cups and cones, cookie dough ice cream sundaes, “Dough’wiches” (cookie dough ice cream sandwiches), “Cookie Dough’wiches” (cookie dough cookie sandwiches), “Dough’shakes” (cookie dough milkshakes), “Brownie a la Dough” (brownie with ice cream and cookie dough), baked goods like cookies and brownies, coffee, milk, and so much more.

“We’ll have something to satisfy every sweet tooth,” adds Lindsay Goldin, The Dough Jar’s Founder/CEO.

The Dough Jar is all about making your childhood dream of eating raw cookie dough from the mixing bowl come true. And opening the shop is a dream come true for Lindsay as well. A few years ago, Lindsay was a young professional meandering through a career path in marketing. “It’s funny because I’m not a baker. I was just looking for something creative and fulfilling to do outside of my day job. I had a lightbulb moment to try selling cookie dough, I took a risk and quit my job, and it was the best decision I ever made. Getting the scoop shop ready for opening day is one of the most fun things I’ve ever done, and I can’t wait to open the doors to everyone!”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
