We’ve Got Another Traffic Camera Bandit! MUST WATCH Video

Ed. Note: Another hero/villain was at work back in February destroying 11 traffic cameras.

From MPD:

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a person and vehicle of interest in reference to a Destruction of Property offense the occurred on April 12, 2018, in the 3700 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast.

At approximately 3:44 am, members of MPD responded to the listed location for the report of an inoperable traffic camera. Upon arrival, officers observed damage to the traffic camera. Investigators have since determined the damage was due to vandalism.

A person and vehicle of interest was captured by a nearby surveillance camera. The vehicle is believed to be Hyundai Santa Fe, dark in color. The suspect and vehicle of interest can be seen in the photos above and in this video:

Anyone who can identify this individual or vehicle, or has information regarding this crime should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
