deathray_2000 AKA “Tiny” missing since 2012 has been found!!!

“Remember when deathray_2000 went missing back in 2012? She’s been found!”

Deathray was found at Prince George’s County Animal Control.

Some more details from the owner:

“In the days following Tiny’s disappearance, I got lots of help in distributing flyers and walking the streets looking for her. But on the 2nd or 3rd day, I got a call from a blocked number. It was a young male, and there was a group of young people chattering behind him. He asked (based on what he read on the flyer about a microchip) whether the dog could be tracked through the microchip. Not realizing the importance of the question – I was eagerly answering all calls and trying to work with anyone who called with tips – I said the chip would identify the owner if the dog were brought to a shelter or veterinarian, but did not track the dog’s location. The caller hung up the phone. My heart sank. The dog was gone, for good, at that point.

Or so I thought.

Thank you, PetLink! And thank you to all my friends and family for your support back then, and your enthusiasm and support now. I love you all!”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
