Joe & the Juice, “the most well-traveled juice bar and coffee concept on the planet”, Opened It’s First D.C. Spot Yesterday

15th and K Street, NW

Tom reports:

joe and the juice at Vermont and K (1500 K St NW) is open. They told me they opened yesterday during the snow, but things were very slow. It appears to be a soft opening. They don’t have drip coffee yet (but can make you an Americano, called a “joe”.) Very cool place inside.”

Check out their menus here. Hours | M-F: 6am – 9pm; Sa-Su: 8am-8pm

From a Joe Juice rep:

“I am thrilled to share Joe & the Juice – the most well-traveled juice bar and coffee concept on the planet – will be open for business in the heart of downtown Washington DC THIS WEEK on Wednesday, March 21st.

Founded in Copenhagen 15 years ago, Joe & the Juice has more than 200 locations worldwide and is casting and creating a cult culture of juicers around the globe, offering an exchange program that encourages employees to see the world with an opportunity to live in modern Joe Houses and work in international locations of their choice. Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, Sweden, England, Singapore, South Korea, New York and now DC!

The Downtown location is the first of more DC Joe & the Juice stores to come, and marks the 32nd store in the U.S.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
