Shooting Reported around 1:45pm, Possible Homicide, at 16th and Park Road, NW

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Thursday, March 15, 2018, in the 1500 block of Park Road, Northwest.

At approximately 1:32 pm, members of the Third District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 43-year-old Andre Junior, of Upper Marlboro, MD.

On Thursday, March 15, 2018, 27-year-old Robert Edward Green, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.

This case remains under investigation. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. “The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the 1500 block of Park Road NW. An adult male has been transported to an area hospital with gunshot wounds.
