There’s an unruly mop of hair under this lid

And of course I’ll be shaving my head too – so if you’d like to join our fight against childhood cancers – please consider donating what you can here. And of course I’ll be bringing some t-shirts, tote bags and even hats this year to sweeten the deal!

116 Rhode Island Ave, NW

From Boundary Stone:

“Boundary Stone in Bloomingdale will host their annual fundraiser for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 3pm.

The event will raise funds for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation’s childhood cancer research and local teams and individuals will compete to collect donations before taking their turn in the barber’s chair.

Other participants include teams from local breweries DC Brau, Port City, Atlas Brew Works, Right Proper, and 3 Stars in addition to All Souls bar. Shaves will be provided courtesy of event partner Barber of Hell’s Bottom and participants will get their shaves on site at Boundary Stone the day of the event. 2018 marks Boundary Stone’s fifth year hosting a shaving party for St. Baldrick’s.

To donate, volunteer or sign up to be a “shavee,” visit boundarystonedc.com.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
