From MPD:

“On January 19th, 2018, at approximately 1:55 A.M., MPD officers received a 911 call for a Destruction of Property at the 7-11 Store, located in the 200 block of Cedar Street, N.W. Upon the arrival of MPD units, it was discovered that three suspects had stolen the ATM machine from inside of the 7-11.

Based upon a preliminary investigation, the following is a synopsis of the crime:

A suspect operating a blue Ford pickup truck backed up onto the sidewalk in front of the store and rammed the truck through the front window (tailgate first). Two other suspects then ran inside the store from the west side of the building. All three suspects picked up the ATM and threw it in the bed of the pickup truck. The suspects then entered the truck and the driver fled westbound on Cedar Street, N.W. MPD Units located that pickup truck several minutes later at the intersection of Piney Branch Road and Dahlia Street, N.W. The investigation revealed that the vehicle had been stolen in the Sixth District on January 18th, 2018. Parts of the ATM machine were found at Piney Branch Road and Eastern Avenue, N.W.

The suspects are described as African American males, wearing all black clothing and black face masks.

The Metropolitan Police Department is asking anyone with information about this offense to contact our Command Information Center at 202-727-9099.”

This rental is located at Corcoran St NW near 17th St NW. The Craigslist ad says:

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
