1905 9th Street, NW

From 1905 BISTRO & BAR:

“After nine wonderful years on 9th Street, we have decided that it’s time to close our doors next month.

Being a part of Shaw for nearly a decade and watching the neighborhood blossom around us has been an exciting privilege. This community has embraced our little restaurant in ways we never could have imagined. We couldn’t have been luckier to have opened during one of the D.C. dining community’s most impressive periods of expansion in recent history, sharing and growing with so many other incredible small, local businesses.

Over the years, we have been incredibly fortunate to work with talented, hard-working professionals in the kitchen, on the floor, and behind the bar, including our Executive Chef Joel Hatton who has helped shape 1905 since 2013. We are eternally grateful to all our staff, past and present, our partners in the food and beverage industry, and our loyal patrons from throughout the region who have believed in 1905 for so long.

We’ll never forget the countless special occasions we have had the honor of hosting at 1905–from rehearsal dinners to baby showers, wedding ceremonies to graduation parties–in addition to everyone who has spent balmy evenings up on the roof deck, and all of you who popped bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau with us at midnight on the third Thursday of November for all those years.

Our last night of dinner service to the general public will be Thursday, November 9th. We hope to see you before then for dinner, brunch, or drinks up on the roof deck so we can say thank you and goodbye!”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
