The Craigslist ad says:

“This unique apartment, with flowing spaces and views of Rock Creek Park from every room, is a hideaway in the woods and offers unlimited options for creative furnishing. The outdoor spaces are just as unusual, with a 400 square foot private deck with built in benches and planter boxes perfect for BBQ’s and parties, a quaint brick patio entrance with french doors, and an urban yard perfect for small-scale gardening. An extra storage unit is provided for bikes, ski equipment and camping gear, etc.

This apartment, in a private home, was just painted and is immaculately clean. Features include: central air conditioning, security system, dishwasher, washer/dryer in separate laundry room, DSL/cable, track lights on dimmers, and much more. The custom kitchen has recessed lighting and lots of storage. The unique bedroom features 6 feet by 12 feet of windows with custom sliding lattice panels overlooking the Park. Through two arches the large living room is just steps away.

The apartment is a short walk to The National Zoo, Columbia Heights and Cleveland Park Metro and minutes from the cities best bus lines. The apartment is available in late-July.”

These are some of my all time favorite buildings in Mt. Pleasant. Does $1625 sound reasonable for this 1 bed?

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
