“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District announced a suspect has been taken into custody related to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred in the 1400 block of Irving Street, Northwest, on Friday, August 25, 2017.
At approximately 12:15 pm, the suspect brandished a handgun and fired at the victim near the Columbia Heights metro station. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim also fled the scene.
On Thursday, August 31, 2017, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 22-year-old Cesar Morales, was arrested in Montgomery County, MD. Charges are pending upon extradition to the District.”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District seek the public’s assistance in identifying two persons of interest in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred in the 1400 block of Irving Street, Northwest, on Friday, August 25, 2017.
At approximately 12:15 pm, two suspects were chasing the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and fired at the victim. Both the suspects and the victim fled the scene.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by sending a text message to 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent offense, including armed robbery, committed in the District of Columbia.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
