Reader Concerned with Recent Violent Crime in Adams Morgan

A reader reports:

“The following alerts from MPD show that violent crime is a problem in Adams Morgan, apart from the recent incident on 18th Street where a motorist hit two MPD officers and a DDOT person (every MPD officer I have talked to said the incident was intentional).

2. Alert: Robbery at 0220 hrs in the 1800 block of Kalorama Road, NW. Lookout for 5-6 B/M’s; (1) B/M, medium to shoulder length dreadlocks, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans; armed with a silver handgun.

3. Alert: Stabbing at 0240 hrs in the 1800 block of Kalorama Road, NW. Lookout for B/F, 5’0″, short hair, armed with a knife.”
