“For over a decade, Pasara Thai restaurant has served the freshest, flavorful and healthy Thai food in the VA/DC area. As a family owned and operated restaurant, Pasara Thai began in Alexandria Virginia. Expanding now to 4 different locations, each place has its own unique atmosphere and decor but the same authentic Thai food. Owner and Executive Chef, Pasara, created a menu to offer the finest Thai dishes outside of Bangkok by fusing her culinary instincts with recipes from the streets of Thailand.

Using the freshest ingredients and high quality vegetable oil. One of the keys to the preparation of our wonderful food is the use of fresh herbs and spices such as lemon grass, basil, mint, galanga, cilantro and kaffir lime leaves. From mild to hot, vegetarian or not, the diverse and flavorful menu has something for everyone.

Catering with the smiles and hospitality that Thailand is known for, the service is always efficient and the experience is surprisingly inexpensive. The atmosphere is as delightful as the menu while dining among classical and traditional hand crafted Thai decor. Besides delighting the discerning palate, Pasara offers a seasonal menu that is updated monthly as the kitchen takes pride in its sophisticated presentation.

The goal of Pasara Thai is to serve our patrons the best authentic Thai food. By adding several modern riffs on the typical Thai dishes, we offer you an escape from the typical Thai restaurant menus. In the end the focus is always presenting quality Thai food. Our cuisine emphasizes the balance of each ingredient’s flavor, texture and seasoning. We are confident that you will enjoy the dedication and care in which we prepare each entree.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
