“Suspects and Vehicle Sought in Two Assaults and Multiple Armed Robberies in the District”

“The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in identifying and locating suspects and a vehicle sought in connection with two Assaults and several Armed Robberies. The offenses are listed below:

Robbery (Gun): 4000 block of 13th Street, Northwest, on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at approximately 2:21 am. CCN: 16-139-618.
Robbery (Gun): 12th and Douglas Streets, Northeast, on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at approximately 12:54 pm. CCN: 16-141-632.
Assault with Intent to Rob (Gun): 1400 block of Ogden Street, Northwest, on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at approximately 2:00 pm. CCN: 16-141-676.
Robbery (Gun): 1200 block of Delafield Place, Northwest, on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at approximately 2:20 pm. CCN: 16-141-683.
Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun): 16th and Irving Streets, Northeast, on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at approximately 3:00 pm. CCN: 16-141-730.

During these offenses, the suspect(s) were occupying a stolen gray 2003 Toyota Camry bearing a DC tag of EZ2397. In each instance one to three black male suspects approached the victim on a public street and robbed or attempted to rob the victim at gunpoint. All of the victims are Latino individuals.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
