“The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two suspects in connection with a Kidnapping and First Degree Sexual Abuse offense that occurred in the 600 block of T Street, Northwest.

On Saturday, July 31, 2016, at approximately 12:00 am, while walking in the area of 600 T Street, Northwest, the victim was approached by two suspects. The suspects kidnapped the victim, and took her to the rear of the 3200 block of 28th Street, Southeast, where she was sexually assaulted.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect one is described as a black male, in his late twenties to early thirties in age, light complexion, low haircut, wearing a brown polo style shirt, blue jeans, and a hat.

Suspect two is described as a black male, in his late twenties to early thirties in age, dark complexion, low haircut, and plastic black oval shaped eyeglasses.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.”

“The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in identifying and locating three suspects in connection with a kidnapping and sexual assault offense that occurred in the area of Montana and Saratoga Avenue, Northeast.

On Thursday, July 28, 2016, at approximately 8:00 am, while walking in the area of Montana Avenue, Northeast, the victim was abducted by three suspects. The suspects were last seen operating a dark colored SUV or van, where they drove the victim to an undisclosed location and sexually assaulted her.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect one is described as a Hispanic male, light complexion, approximately 38-years-old, 5’3” in height, 150 lbs., dark hair. He has a tattoo of a motorcycle with flames, and the word “DIE, DIE” on his neck.

Suspect two is described as a black male, dark complexion, 38-years-old, 6’0” in height, with shoulder length dreadlocks. He has a tattoo on his right wrist that reads “Wizzy Gang.”

Suspect three is described as a black male, light complexion, 22-years-old. He has a tattoo of a skull, with the words “Murder Gang.”

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
