“Craft Beer Cellar DC, offering a beer selection never before seen in the District, is celebrating its grand opening on Saturday, August 6 at 10 a.m. at 301 H Street, NE.
Craft Beer Cellar DC aims to be the premier craft beer store in Washington, DC, with a focus on local, regional, US and international craft beer.
“We want to provide our customers with an unparalleled craft beer experience, from product selection to hospitality to educational events,” said store owner Erika Goedrich. “We want to know our customers, to share our passion with them, and for them to feel informed and confident in their selections.”
Customers will be allowed to assemble mixed packs with any beer in the store. Craft Beer Cellar DC will collaborate with breweries to provide tastings and other events to help educate about beers, beer styles, breweries, brewing history and process. The grand opening event features tastings from DC Brau, Union Craft Brewing and Adroit Theory.
Craft Beer Cellar DC will also offer a small selection of cider, wine and spirits, as well as complementary food products (BBQ sauces/mustard made with beer, chocolate and jerky) and glassware, books and other merchandise.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
