From a press release:

“The steering committee for the first-ever National Cannabis Festival today announced the launch of ticket sales for a festival at the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds celebrating progress on ending cannabis prohibition. The inaugural event is scheduled for April 23, 2016, and invites thousands of cannabis enthusiasts to gather in Washington, D.C. for a day of music, advocacy and activities.

“The National Cannabis Festival is a one-of-a-kind event,” said Vanessa West, General Manager, Metropolitan Wellness Center and festival committee co-chair, “this is the only event of this size and scale for cannabis enthusiasts on the east coast. With beer and wine festivals every weekend, it’s about time the cannabis community had a national level festival.”

The National Cannabis Festival is composed of 4 major components: a full day concert on the main festival stage, a vendor fair, an education pavilion and an advocacy fair. The advocacy fair is made up of 12 local and national non-profit partners who are working together to outline joint federal and local calls to action to rally festival attendees around. Advocacy partners include:
Americans for Safe Access,
Dance Safe,
DC NORML, DC Vote, Drug Policy Alliance,
Law Enforcement Against Prohibition,
Marijuana Policy Project,
Maryland NORML, NORML, Students for Sensible Drug Policy, Veterans for Peace and
Virginia NORML.

“In a presidential election year there is no more appropriate place than Washington, D.C., for an event like this to launch,” said Corey Barnette, Owner, District Growers and festival committee co-chair, “with this event we aim to bring our advocacy partners together with members of the cannabis industry to highlight the most pressing cannabis policy issues and to remind presidential candidates and members of congress that it is time to end cannabis prohibition.”

Tickets for the festival start at $35 for General Admission. Additional tickets are available starting at $60 via Indiegogo. For more information on the forthcoming National Cannabis Festival visit www.nationalcannabisfestival.com”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
