“At approximately 7:00pm this evening [Sunday], First District MPD officers responded to an armed robbery which occurred at 7th & E St. NE. The victim and witnesses provided a lookout for the suspects who fled in a silver colored vehicle.
Shortly thereafter, officers observed the vehicle in the Sixth District and were able to apprehend the suspects after a brief pursuit. All suspects were positively identified as the culprits in the robbery and charged accordingly.
These individuals are also believed to be responsible for various other robberies in the First District that occurred earlier in the week, in addition to several that occurred in other parts of the city earlier today.
Investigators are currently reviewing all cases believed to be associated with these individuals.”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department announced that several arrests have been made in the past few days in robbery cases from around Washington, DC.

· On Friday, October 23, 2015, a juvenile male was arrested for multiple Robbery offenses that occurred in the following locations:
o 1600 block of Franklin Street, NE on Monday, October 12, 2015 CCN: 15-162-220
o 1400 block of Channing Street, NE on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 CCN:15-162-768
o 1200 block of Rhode Island Avenue, NE on Friday, October 16, 2015 CCN:15-164-646
o 1200 block of Brentwood Road, NE on Friday, October 16, 2015 CCN: 15-164-741
o 900 block of Rhode Island Avenue, NE on Saturday, October 17, 2015 CCN: 15-165-166
o 400 block of Channing Street, NE on Saturday, October 17, 2015 CCN: 15-165-384
Seventh District:
· On Saturday, October 17, 2015, two adult males were arrested for two Armed Robbery (Gun) offenses that occurred at the following locations:
o 2400 block of 15th Place, SE on Saturday, October 17, 2015 CCN: 15-165-301
Area of 16th and Gainesville Streets, SE on Saturday, October 17, 2015 CCN: 15-165-331
The investigations in to these offenses are ongoing.”
