Very sad news for sweet potato pie fans. Thanks to a reader for sending an update on Henry’s Soul Cafe on U Street: “The space is for rent now…”.
After experiencing serious fire damage back in June 2014, Henry’s Soul Cafe had hoped to reopen in 2-3 months. Sadly, the owner Henry Smith passed away in October 2014. The 4th and K St, NW location also closed back in June. There have been no updates on Henry’s facebook page since July. Not looking good at all.
