“We’re getting ready to launch our 6th season and would love for you to come out to our events.
- Silent Auction Fundraiser – Join us April 20th from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm for a fun night and a great cause at Chez Billy. We have the whole place to ourselves this year! Buy your tickets here! We’re hosting a silent auction with lots of goodies from local Petworth businesses. 100% of the money that we raise from this event goes into running the market and we need you to come out and support us. Join your neighbors to contribute to your market and come out and take advantage of the drink specials. For more information, check out our Silent Auction Flyer.
- The Market Is starting soon and we will be kicking things off in a big way on May 2nd from 9 am – 1 pm and every Saturday after that though November. We’ll have plenty of food and produce, as well as goods from local vendors. Each week we’ll feature events that are great for the entire family including live music, storytelling, cooking demos, and more. Come out and join us! Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
