“The DC Ladies of Arm Wrestling (DCLAW) are hosting the national championship of lady arm wrestlers this Saturday Nov 15 at the Atlas Theater on H Street NE. All proceeds from ticket sales and on-site betting will go to Miriam’s Kitchen. Come on out and support a great cause while enjoying some wonderfully campy athleticism. Doors open at 7:00, bouts start at 8:00. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Order advance tickets here.”

“On November 15, 2014, at the Atlas Theater in NE, sixteen lady arm wrestlers from across the country will descend on H Street to determine who is number in the country! Alter ego’s , theme songs, crazy costumes and REAL arm wrestling are fun reasons to come, but best of all, it’s for charity! That’s right all proceeds will go to benefit Miriam’s Kitchen a local nonprofit seeking to end the chronic homelessness problem in DC.

WHY: It’s hilarious and you can feel good about raising money for charity!

HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST ME: Tickets $20 in advance and $25 at the door! Plus everyone is encouraged to bet on their favorite wrestler each round. The individual who bet the highest amount on the winning wrestler wins a prize that round. All the betting money goes to charity.
