“Start your Halloween Festivities at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 27 with a screening of the original 1925 silent movie version of The Phantom of the Opera (starring Lon Chaney, Mary Philbin, Norman Kerry and Rupert Julian) with LIVE musical accompaniment on the historic 1939 pipe organ at Capitol Hill United Methodist Church [421 Seward Square, S.E. (Eastern Market Metro)]by nationally known organist Tom Trenney. Admission is free, though donations to directly support the organ music series are appreciated.
