I have received approximately 722 emails from bars/restaurants around town about the World Cup. One that caught my eye was from Dacha Beer Garden at 7th and Q Street, NW:
“Team Dacha is gearing up for the 2014 FIFA World Cup! We can’t wait to host our friends and neighbors to cheer on teams from around the globe (not just Germany!) during each game. We’re happy to announce that we’ll be open every day at 12:00 noon and airing every World Cup match.
We have installed 3 large (65″) flat screen TVs exclusively for the tournament. All matches will be aired and Dacha will open at 12pm (noon) for the entire duration of the World Cup – June 12th through July 13th.
Soccer fans can enjoy an extended Happy Hour, Monday through Thursday, lasting from Noon to 7pm including $5 singles and $10 boots of select drafts. Fuel that football fever with traditional brats, pretzels and Dacha’s ‘special sauce,’ the grill will be fired up every day of the week!
We’ll be hosting raffles and games on a daily basis to award fans and customers with special-edition Weihenstephan World Cup commemorative glasses and t-shirts.”
