Mens softball league in DC (or DC area):
“About 12 friends of mine are looking to play in a men’s-only softball league in DC this summer. Does anyone know of one? We’re not looking for anything overly competitive, but want basically a Zog or USS-like game if possible. Anyone know of a league taking teams?”
graffiti on yield to pedestrian sign (and others):
“I reported the graffiti on a number of street signs at Connecticut & 20th NW (just north of Dupont Circle) on May 8 (to 311) and on May 22 (to Jim Graham) and haven’t gotten any response.
This is a safety issue – with the “yield to pedestrian” text covered, it is much more likely that a pedestrian gets hit crossing 20th St. This is the intersection: https://www.google.com/maps/@38.911874,-77.044935,3a,75y,171.97h,76.48t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1s9IoSYSKPMkiA_V6_z5_hhQ!2e0
Does anyone know how to get this issue resolved?”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
