Hank’s Oyster Bar Dupont Now Open for Lunch

“Chef/Owner Jamie Leeds is pleased to announce that Hank’s Oyster & Lounge in Dupont Circle will now be extending its popular menu of New England beach fare to include daily lunch service Monday through Friday (Hank’s_Lunch_Menu). Located just off Dupont Circle at 1624 Q Street, NW, Hank’s will offer fresh lunchtime dishes that are sumptuous, yet easy on the wallet as every menu item will be priced under $18 (with the exception of the Lobster Roll at $25). Daily lunch at Hank’s debuts Tuesday, April 1, 2014 and will be available from 11:30 AM until 3 PM.

Hank’s Oyster Bar & Lounge will offer an enticing variety of small plates that are perfect for sharing or grabbing a quick bite during a short lunch break. Small plate offerings include Popcorn Shrimp & Calamari; Lobster Bisque; Fried Oysters, Hog Island Style BBQ Oysters, and Caesar Salad with an option to add Shrimp or Anchovies. A selection of larger plate entrees will also be available such as one Chef Leeds’ signature dishes, the Lobster Roll with Old Bay fries. Other menu highlights include the Fish & Chips; choice of Oyster or Shrimp Po’ Boy with cayenne remoulade and Old Bay Fries; Crabcake Sandwich with tangy Coleslaw; and the Hank’s Burger, an 8oz beef patty served on a Kaiser roll with lettuce, tomato, red onion with Old Bay fries. Prices for small plates range from $8 to $15 and large plates range from $13 to $25.

Hank’s juicy, mouth-watering sandwich specials would put any bag lunch to shame. Priced from $9 to $25, sandwich specials include Hank’s Grilled Cheese with Fire Fly La Mancha Goat Cheese, Cabot White Cheddar, House-Made Tomato Jam on Pullman bread; Smoked Salmon Reuben with coleslaw, Swiss cheese and cayenne remoulade on marble rye; Grilled Fish Sandwich with Arugula, Tomato, and Old Bay fries; Beer Battered Cod Sandwich with tartar sauce and Hank’s BLT with apple wood smoked bacon, thick slices of tomato and arugula on sourdough toast.

A rotating list of daily specials will always be available that are priced from $15 to $18. Highlights not to be missed include Steamed Blue Bay Mussels with garlic Chablis, parsley and butter. Additionally, a raw bar with a rotating selection of oysters, shrimp, clams and ceviche will also be available.

The hours of operation for lunch are Monday to Friday from 11 AM to 3 PM and the dinner hours are Monday and Tuesday from 5:30 PM to 10 PM; Wednesday to Friday 5:30 PM to 11 PM; Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM, 5:30 PM to 11 PM; Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM, 5:30 PM to 10 PM.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
