“Police Chief Cathy Lanier and City Councilman Jim Graham will be among a 10-member panel discussing criminal justice issues Monday during a forum hosted by the Northwest Columbia Heights Community Association. The forum, being held at St. Stephens Church at 1525 Newton St. NW, begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be hosted by Sam Ford of ABC 7 News. The public and media are encouraged to attend. CRIMINAL JUSTICE PUBLIC FORUM

What: Chief Cathy Lanier of the DC Metropolitan Police Department and Ward One Councilmember Jim Graham will headline a meeting on criminal justice hosted by the Northwest Columbia Heights Community Association in response to high rates of repeat offenses for drug crimes and violent crimes in Columbia Heights. The Criminal Justice Public Forum is a chance for members of the community to find out about a new and innovative program that public officials and community residents are implementing together to reduce crime and make our neighborhoods safer, the Community Criminal Justice Accountability Initiative (CCJAI).
