Thanks to M.V. Jantzen for sending this “misspelled NPS sign at the Lincoln Memorial, on the southeast area of the circle. Seriously, how does this happen?
And what’s crazy is I’m pretty sure they’re trying to point to the MLK restroom/shop. The arrow isn’t even pointing in the right direction.
And why not say it’s by the MLK Memorial, and why not name the actual street, Independence Ave? It’s like still a half mile away, not exactly “across the street.”
Also, the Google Map seems to think the unstaffed kiosk in the photo is a “bookstore,” ugh. You could do a whole post on dumb mistake on Google Maps.”
