This is one of two Christmas trees (the other is in a treebox) near the corner of Park Place and Otis Place NW, both of which have been hanging around since January, pre-Snowcrete. (The fence for the Old Soldier’s Home.)
When I called 311, I was told Christmas tree pickup was over and any trees in the alley for regular trash pickup will be taken if space allows.“
DPW confirms:
“After February 28, 2026, holiday trees and greenery should be placed at the normal point of collection for trash and recycling. Holiday trees and greenery will be collected as space permits in the truck.”
