Wanted to give another good neighbor shoutout— approached the northbound bus stop at 14th and R around 5:30 on Friday. A girl around my age (late twenties or early thirties?) was digging it out with a garden shovel. When I asked her about it,
she said she worked nearby and was getting angry at how inaccessible the stop was with the snow and decided to take matters into her own hands. She said she was just gonna work on it until the bus came (it never did- in 25 minutes, 4 busses passed us in the freezing cold). And as the rest of us decided to hoof it, she crossed the street and started digging out the southbound stop.”
