Compass Coffee only opened here in August 2024. Prior to that the space was home to a Foxtrot. Before Foxtrot the space was home to a Philz coffee, (and before Philz and the new building) this plot was a gas station.
Yesterday when
we spoke about “Compass Coffee 14 and U St Location Closed” (the old Wydown space), I wondered who might be next. We didn’t have to wait long as folks sent word and photos yesterday of the Adams Morgan’s location packing up.
Updates when we learn who takes over this prime space next.
