Philz Coffee also closing in Adams Morgan (Feb. 12th), Fundraiser launched for employees.

Thanks to Ali for sending: “A sad day in Adams Morgan Philz Coffee closing 2/12/23. The sign was at the front counter, and the barista taking my order told me the closing date.”

This follows news of Philz recent closure in Navy Yard. Philz closed their Dupont location back in May 2022.

Philz opened in Adams Morgan in March 2016.

The GoFundme says:

“As many of you now know, Philz corporate has decided to pull out of the DC market; closing both Philz Navy Yard and Philz Adams Morgan. The Adams Morgan location of Philz has been a neighborhood staple for almost 7 years.

As a staff, we have loved getting to know the community and valued customers. We truly enjoy seeing you all day in and day out and getting to know you and your spouses, kids and dogs included.

The Philz AdMo team has loved and appreciated our time at 1827 Adams Mill Rd, this store has been a stepping stone for so many of our employees and you are all a part of our story.

Though Philz is offering a small severance package, many Philz employees need additional funds to cover rent, groceries and other living costs. If Philz AdMo has ever been a part of your life or brightened your day, please consider giving in any way you can.

We are deeply saddened to lose this special space that has felt like our own special community corner. We hope to see as many of you as possible over the next few weeks. Buy all the beans you need, tip generously and let us know if you know anywhere that’s hiring.”

Updates when we learn what becomes of the space.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
