Kevin reports on road conditions and traffic conditions: “in downtown DC are actually quite bad for commuting by car. As an illustration, Mass Ave south of Sheridan Circle has only two narrow lanes carved out in either direction and at times there is still packed snow or ice on the entire surface. All of the numbered streets between the Dupont region and K Street are bad to very bad.
K Street is plowed and the service roads on either side are narrow trenches easily cut off by vehicles that are inexplicably stopped.
On my way south from Wesley Heights to K Street I saw that every single side street off Mass Ave NW appeared to be untouched by plows
If you have to go to work take the metro
The roads are too dicey.“
