Thanks to DBL for passing on the update about Montello Market (in the former Jabbo’s Compack Market space):
“Passing on the news that Montello Market is open as of December 3rd, 2025. According to the clerk on duty, Temesgen,their current hours are:
Monday – Sunday from 8am to 8pm. They may decide to stay open longer based on neighborhood demand.
He also told me they operate another store on Georgia Avenue NW (though I forget which one).
So far they have a pretty solid selection of convenience and grocery items.
The food prep/deli area in the rear of the store is not currently in use but all the previous equipment and buildout is still there.
Happy to have another option in the neighborhood!”
