Tons of Feds Still Parked on the Sidewalk in front of Union Station but while we’re there have a look at the God Jul Tree

Thanks to W. for sending the latest from Union Station parking situation this morning: “They are back. Police, k-9 units, and DHS per the window stickers, decals, and tags.”

WUSA9 reported:

A protest camp outside Union Station in D.C. is now gone. The last tent was removed around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, ending months of camping in Columbus Circle.

The National Park Service had ordered the protesters to leave for renovations to the fountain, plaza and statues. Groups had been protesting the deployment of National Guard troops in the District.”

And while we’re here…

God Jul Washington:

Thank you Norway!

A bit late on the tree festivities – sorry:

“On Tuesday, December 2, the Norwegian Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at Union Station in Washington D.C.
This annual celebration symbolizes the Norwegian people’s gratitude for American assistance during World War Two.”

Still time to enjoy looking at the tree though!
