“Weekend track work and service information for Indigenous Peoples’ Day and Columbus Day”

“This holiday weekend from Saturday through Monday, trains will single track on the Red Line between Silver Spring and Forest Glen stations. On Monday, Metro will run on a holiday schedule for Indigenous Peoples’ Day and Columbus Day.

On Sunday, Oct. 12, due to the Army Ten Miler, the Pentagon Transit Center will be closed until 2:00 p.m. Customers should expect detours on the following bus routes between 4:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.:

A1X, A11, A27, A40, A58, A66, C11, C55, D1X, D10, D30, D4X, D40, D44, D50, D6X, D60, D74, F44

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day and Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 13, Metrorail will open at 5 a.m. and close at midnight, operating on Saturday frequencies at all stations not experiencing track work. Metrobus will operate on a Saturday supplemental schedule. MetroAccess customers may make a reservation to travel on the holiday; however, subscription trips will be canceled.

Metrorail

Blue Line: Trains every 12 minutes, then every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m.
Silver Line: Trains every 12 minutes, then every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m.
Orange Line: Trains every 12 minutes, then every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m.
Yellow Line: Trains every 8 minutes all day.
Green Line: Trains every 8 minutes all day.

Metrobus

Buses will operate on a Saturday supplemental schedule.

MetroAccess

All subscription trips will be canceled Monday.
