From a press release:
“Dos Toros, the renowned San Francisco-inspired taqueria known for its Mission-style burritos, is excited to announce its third D.C. location—located at 215 Pennsylvania Avenue SE—will open on Wednesday, October 22. Guests can spin the wheel to win free entrées, chips & dips, drinks, $20 gift card, and catering discounts.
“We’re beyond excited to bring Dos Toros to Capitol Hill and be part of such a vibrant community,” says Co-founder Leo Kremer. “DC has incredible energy and a real appreciation for quality ingredients, which is exactly what we’re all about. We can’t wait to welcome our new neighbors and share the food we love with Capitol Hill.”
The Bay Area-style taqueria has a menu that offers an array of options, including Mission-style burritos, quesadillas, tacos and bowls, fresh salads, and plant-based items. The menu’s signature Mission-style burrito is made by adding each layer of ingredients–from melted cheese on the tortilla, guacamole, homemade beans, carnitas cooked low and slow for 12+ hours, or your choice of chicken or steak that is marinated overnight in custom spice blends.
For the debut of its Capitol Hill location, the brand has partnered with local nonprofit DC Scores to give back to the community by “Rolling For a Reason” from 10:30-9:30 pm— 100% of sales on opening day will be donated to DC Scores.
