“Emissary is now open. Emissary has recently undergone a complete change in management, so we are working through some remaining items with DC.
As a side note, as a thank you to customers for the inconvenience and bearing with us, we will be offering 50% off on all coffee drinks today.”

Crazy thing happened this morning. I had just ordered a coffee at Emissary on P and was sitting outside when a bunch of cops showed up and closed the doors and put these signs in the window.
Apparently all the patrons that were seated inside were asked to leave. Seemed like maybe a financial thing? But the cops just appeared to be regular MPD. The whole thing was so weird! Anyway I may have been Emissary’s last sale!”
Stay tuned for a reopening date. This looks like a DC Office of Tax Revenue issue that usually gets resolved relatively quickly.
