“The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in Northwest.
On Sunday, June 8, 2025, at approximately 2:57 a.m., Third District officers responded to the 1400 block of S Street, Northwest, after hearing sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene, and after finding no signs consistent with life, the man was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 21-year-old Brandon Tolson of Northeast, D.C.
