Dear PoPville

“Gas price differences, what gives?”

“Dear PoPville,

This is a topic that has puzzled me for YEARS and I hope the community can shed some light on it.
In the triangle between Georgia Ave, Pine Branch Ave and Sheridan there’s TWO gas stations: an Exxon to the north and a BP to the South.

The BP is consistently more expensive than the Exxon, no big deal, right? Free Market.
But these days,

the gallon of gas at the Exxon is $3 and at the BP is $4. I’m talking a whole dollar.
Across the street there are two more gas stations at the prices range at $3.10.

Not the best photo but it shows the crazy price disparity. The picture was taken at sheridan and georgia from south to north. The exxon is 2.99, the bp is 3.79 (3.99 with credit card)
Weird, right?!
