Petworth, yes, this is what the Petworth Safeway aka the Smelly or Stinky Safeway, looked like back in the day and my God did it stink (though super nice staff.)
After a friendly debate with her friend, a friend of mine requests that we put together the definitive list of Safeway nicknames. [Ed. Note: Before the internet ruled the earth we used to have to think of fun ways to entertain ourselves and one of those ways was naming Safeways!] Here is what the then definitive list looked like from 2009:
